BEST COPY I'VE EVER HAD / SEEN...and - I believe this MCA 'diamond' label press to be THE first pressing - I've had the other ones but this is the earliest I believe - the matrices attest to this also...
Barely a mark on any of the vinyls or sleeve - honest Ex / Ex+, sleeve is also wonderful - laminate is intact - white booklet also great shape too...Ex, nudging Ex+
Vinyls both grade Ex+ - I can barely see any spindle marks at all on either vinyls - they appear to have been barely played in my honest opinion...

This original recording (released before the show was ever staged) has a rock flavour that is very different from Webber's later work. This is due in part to the emotive singing of Murray Head and Ian Gillan and the playing of well-known rock session musicians such as guitarists Neil Hubbard and Chris Spedding, bassist Alan Spenner and drummer Bruce Rowland. The musical arrangements are often multi-layered, featuring rock and classical elements, and contain many abruptly shifting dynamics and time signatures. In many ways this is the definitive version of the work
