Description
Artist: Jethro Tull Title: Aqualung Label: Island Cat No: ILPS 9145 Year: 1971 Country: UK
This is the 1st ever UK Issue of `Aqualung` by Jethro Tull released on the Island/Chrysalis Label with White `i` logo rim text in 1971 & Fully textured gatefold sleeve the vinyl looks almost unplayed Matrix: Side 1 ILPS 9145 A1U - Side 2 ILPS 9145 B3U
Vinyl (NM) Plays through fine with no sticks or jumps etc, just the odd dust crackle Even under bright LED lights I can hardly see even the usual light sleeve removal scuffs, no feelable scratches! Comes with its original 1971 inner lyric sleeve
Labels - Lovely Clean Chrysalis labels, just 1 visible spindle line, hardly played
Sleeve (EX) - Original 1st issue fully `Textured` Matt finish `E.J.Day` gatefold, Top large spine, some minor edge wear, (Please see photos for complete overview)
I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & Bubble Wrap
The vinyl record will be removed from the album cover for transit purposes and plus both placed in a plastic sleeve
For worldwide buyers if you order more than 1 item I can combine them in the same package to save on postage
I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting
Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in UK Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
