It is the entire concert from Portsmouth Guildhall, England on 19th May 1990 that ends with "Cheerio"; "Hardliner" is the lost track from the "Rock Island" sessions, and "Serenade To A Cuckoo" and "Skating Away.." are recorded from the Kevin Seal Show from MTV in 1987. The audio quality of this recording is overall good to very good and sometimes excellent, although sometimes there is much rumour from the audience; the entire concert has been remixed and digitally mastered at Nova Atlantis Studios in London by Edward Kelly.
This great box was released on the Baphomet Records label in late 1990/early 1991, catalogue number IHVH 6665282, made and printed in Germany. The box is matted, hardcovered and black; the top is held to the bottom by a large "Strathaird Salmon" label. Inside the box are not only the three LP's housed in paper sleeves, but also a T-shirt (size Medium), a nice perkament-like sheet with all the tracks entitled "Cantiones Profanae", a pink sheet to make your own "Ian Anderson Jumping Jack" and a yellow page with some jokes. This box was a limited release of only 1000 pieces! This item was also released on cassettes in a tin can as a limited edition of 200 (which will be listed soon...).
The records are in mint/unplayed condition; I have not taken them out of their inner sleeves. The T-shirt is still packed in its original plastic bag and has never been worn. All the paperwork (cue sheet, joke page and jumping jack page) are in absolute mint condition; there is no tear, no wear, no writing, no nicks, absolutely mint! There is nothing wrong with the box; it is in stunning new condition.
As mentioned before this is an ultra-rare limited release in a nice box; a must have for the real Jethro Tull fan and collector !!
