Description
Jethro Tull LP - This Was - mono first pressing on the pink Island label, with the orange and black circle logo, from 1968, catalogue no ILP 985.
As any Tull fan or serious record collector will know, this the rarest and most collectable pressing of their classic debut album. This copy does have its defects, but it is definitely worth buying if you only have later pressings. Despite not being in Mint condition, it remains very playable.

On first visual inspection, you can tell this record has been played many times. There are quite a few surface marks, more so on Side 2, but they do not seem to cause any major problems. It plays very well, with light background noise which can be heard between tracks and during quieter passages, and a few clicks and pops, but it really does play better than it looks. Overall I would give this an EX- grading. If the winning bidder does not agree, a full refund is offered, as long as the record is returned to me in the same condition it leaves me.
The sleeve is VG. There is virtually no ringwear and overall it is very clean. There is scuffing, mainly on the spine and at the corners and some light creases in the laminate. The opening edge is subect to extensive feathering, another indication that the record has been played many times. Also, it has obviously not been stored correctly - it must have been packed too tightly between other records, so the wide spine has been squashed flat, and now appears to have become part of the back of the gatefold. I am trying to describe it as accurately as possible, so that the winning bidder is not disappointed.

As with all the records I am selling, a full refund is offered if the winning bidder is not happy with the item.
