JETHRO TULL - "M.U." THE BEST OF JETHRO TULL
A brilliant copy of this 1976 UK original, little played with wonderful stereo sound quality throughout and comes with unused elusive band/discography poster
Year/Label : 1976 UK CHRYSALIS Label number : CHR 1078 Matrix numbers : CHR-1078-A1U, CHR-1078-B1 (with "FOR EXPORT" etched and crossed out on A-side run-off)Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen still and coming across as unmarked in normal daylight. With very close inspection under a bright light it is possible to detect a few extremely fine paper scuff lines (more like grazes than scuffs) on each side - nothing feelable, all non-obvious and all appearing to be purely superficial as borne out by the wonderful stereo sound quality. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - just 1 or 2 (literally!) small and barely discernible faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label, otherwise perfect. Clearly this is a record that has been only very sparingly played (a handful of times in my estimation) and well looked after. An excellent plus (EX+) condition Robor Limited outer sleeve - firm edges devoid of any scuffing, a rigid and unmarked spine with all spine text perfectly intact, perfectly defined right angled corners with barely any rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. Note the original front-side hype sticker and embossed texttering - each synonymous with UK 1st pressings. Just a couple of insignificant storage/handling marks otherwise perfect! Comes with elusive and rare unused and in near perfect condition poster with a photo of the band on one side and Jethro Tull's discography on the other. Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle - a great listen from start to finish with great tone and clarity. The only blemish (too strong a word) is two very light clicks towards the beginning of "Aqualung" for which I can find no obvious cause - perhaps a speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of upright storage. Comes with original near perfect condition plain white inner sleeve with no side splits, no age discolouration, no edge fraying, barely any creasing and correct horizontal "PATENT Nos..." and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" texts. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. Enjoy - I doubt that you will find a better condition copy!
POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");
for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,
and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
