This is an impossibly rare original 1969 1st pressing on the first PINK ‘CIRCLE LOGO’ ISLAND LABEL of Jethro Tull’s ‘Stand Up’ album. A record that when it does turn up for sale is normally a later Chrysalis pressing or at best the second issue ‘Pink i’ Island label, so to find a genuine first issue in great condition like this one is a real rarity so don’t miss out...

RECORD CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
The labels are the pink ‘circle logo’ original textured labels neither of which have any writing or marks, they both look absolutely clean and superb. There is some spindle wear but it is only very minor showing that this album has not been over-used.
Visual: EXCELLENT
The whole surface of the vinyl has a brilliant clean sheen and still looks absolutely fine. There are no bad marks to report, no gashes or manufacturers defects in the vinyl. A strong light reveals a few light paper scuffs and the odd tiny hairline or small minor mark but that really is it; there are no major signs of wear or abuse on this very well cared for original record.
Play: EXCELLENT
The audio is loud and clear through both playing sides of this record with no lessening in the sound quality. Anything you pick up in the audio is only what you’d expect from a 41 year old used disc; the very occasional bit of non-intrusive background noise and perhaps the odd isolated pop or click but never anything that can spoil your enjoyment of the music.
COVER CONDITION
Gatefold pop-up sleeve: VERY GOOD+
The whole cover remains completely intact with no serious damage or wear. The main area showing a bit of age is the edges and the spine which all have a little bit of scuffing and rubbing effects but there are absolutely no holes or seam splits so this not a big issue. There is only very early stage ring-wear mainly visible on the rear sleeve. Any wear on the side opening is extremely minimal as well and again only a minor point so overall this is a very well cared for and great looking original album package that still pops up to perfection when opening the gatefold.
