JETHRO TULL Stormwatch UK LP 1st Press A2 B2 + inner Stunning Archive MINT!

This LP is one of several Jethro Tull and Yes LP’s I am currently listing on ebay and the vast majority are in stunning MINT condition.  They are true archive examples of these great albums and it would be virtually impossible to find better copies than these anywhere.

JETHRO TULL ~ Stormwatch.  UK LP Chrysalis CDL 1238.   UK First Pressing on the blue and white Chrysalis label with A//2 B//2 matrix that are the correct first matrix numbers for this release.

This LP is part of a small collection of Tull LP’s where the condition is quite simply outstanding. It is rare that I can say “this LP is as good as the day it left the factory” – but in this instance it is true!!!

Overall condition: NEAR MINT

Sleeve:  NEAR MINT

The outer sleeve is in fantastic near mint condition. All edges are razor sharp and the front and back covers are incredibly clean with no writing, rips tears or other marks whatsoever.  There is a very very tiny amount of feint shelf wear to a small part of the bottom edge and one tiny feint crease near the spine which measures about 2cm in length.  Both these points are incredibly minor but such is the high level of condition of this sleeve they are the only minor points of note.  This sleeve is in phenomenal condition , equally as good as the day it was bought!!

Lyric Inner Sleeve:  NEAR MINT

The original Lyric Inner Sleeve is also in Near Mint Condition, it is extremely flat, sharp and free of any damage. 

Vinyl: (LP) NEAR MINT

The vinyl is in Near Mint condition.  The record looks to have had a maximum of about 1-2 plays and is in really fabulous condition, there, maybe  maximum of 3 or 4 incredibly feint hairline marks which are so light they are almost indistinguishable .  The playing surfaces have a deep back gloss sheen and are simply stunning.   I very nearly gave this a straight MINT grading, the quality is that good.  

Matrix No’s:

Side A: CDL 1238 A//2  E 1 1  2  ( additionally A2 is etched)

Side B: CDL 1238 B//2 t 1 1 1 0  ( additionally B2 is etched)

I inspect all records under a very bright halogen lamp that reveals all marks and wear and I make my grading based only on what is visible under these conditions. 

Labels: MINT

The  labels are in near mint condition and are totally clean and unmarked

This LP has come from the private collection of an individual who has cared for these records incredibly well and most have hardly been played at all!

They are about the best condition LP’s from the 1970’s; 80’s and 90’s that I have ever come across.

Postage and Packing

All records have been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
