Description
This is a rare UK very first 'Mono' LP pressing from Jethro Tull - This Was - issued on Island in 1968 - Cat No: ILP 985, matrix: A/B, indications this is a very first press are:
Bullseye pink i matt finish grooved centre labels - sleeve is front laminated with flip over edges with the wide reading spine and Island Records address along the bottom on rear sleeve.
This is from my personal collection and has been carefully looked after, check out a few more of my rare LP pressings, will happily combine, please email prior to multi-bidding.
Please note: I do not accept offers or end auctions early, all items are listed as auctions unless listed as a Buy It Now option.
If you wish to bid on multiple items please email prior to bidding.
Please also read: In the unlikely event there is a problem with your purchase please contact me first prior to opening a dispute, issues can always be rectified and am happy to do so, if this something you disagree with please refrain from bidding. I think it is fair for me to be given the chance to put any problems right, I also do not tolerate vile or abusive messages especially when I am not to blame. members will be reported. Thank you and happy bidding.
CONDITION - PLEASE READ & LOOK AT PHOTOS BEFORE BIDDING!
When held up to a light both sides show just a few very feint minor small hairline surface marks, these are extremely feint, this plays fine, expect the odd crackle/hiss due to the age of the LP. Some one has wrote their name in pen on inside of gatefold sleeve (see photo) otherwise this is in excellent condition, there are no side/seam splits and the wide spine is fully readable.
Combined postage rates apply to all buyers, if buying multiple items please wait to be invoiced so I can apply the appropriate rates.
Please note I do not play grade items as I am unable to do so, please bear this in mind before bidding. All items I list are always in great condition and my feedbacks reflect this.
ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 3 DAYS UNLESS AGREED OTHERWISE, THIS IS DUE TO A HIGH NUMBER OF NON-PAYERS RECENTLY. MY REGULAR CUSTOMERS ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE.
I have re-evaluated all my postage rates and now the following applies, this is the first price rise I have done in 5 years for Europe & R.O.W, UK postage costs remain the same.
UK - 2nd class recorded delivery £5.00 - Europe - Small Packet rate £13.00 signed for
Rest of the world - small packet rate International sign for £15.00
Please note that I have had too many items go missing so EVERYTHING outside of the UK is sent signed for with tracking depending on Country.
