Description
All Vertigo Swirl LPs are likely to be coming up for auction in the next few months in an order that will only make sense to myself so please keep checking back if you are waiting for something in particular....
All are UK issues and nearly all are First Pressings - they will be accompanied by Vertigo inner sleeves in all cases although it could be that it may not be original to that LP as they were stored separately.
There will not be any superfluous information or unnecessary paragraphs to hide the important stuff - just a description of the records and my considered grading having played them for the first time in over 10 years.
First up is Jim Croce's 1972 LP entitled You Don't Mess Around With Jim.
Catalogue number 6360 700, matrix numbers appear to be 1Y*1 420 1 1 1 and 2Y*1 420 1 1 3.
The vinyl is graded EX- with no significant marks but a little background crackle, most noticeable between the tracks - although not too intrusive. I believe a professional clean would get rid of most of the crackle. There were three "pops" in the final track but I can see no appropriate mark - again, not too big an issue, just noting for completeness.
The gatefold sleeve also rates EX- with a little discolouration to the front and small sticker on rear but no writing or tears. Readable spine.
This particular Vertigo inner has a biro squiggle I hope you can see - it would rate VG- in itself.
