RAREST JIM REEVES RECORD PRESSING
"Wait a minute...!" you might say. However, the above statement is absolutely TRUE! And to the collecting connoisseur, it doesn't get any rarer than this.
Yes, I know the RAREST Title is: 'JIM REEVES SINGS' On the now defunct Abbott label.
BUT:
1968 marked the year RCA would no longer manufacture MONAURAL Long Play LPs And this is the FINAL Production: LPM-3987 And, as it happened, that record belonged to: JIM REEVES
YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND THIS LP ANYWHERE! (50 years for me)
IF YOU DON'T ALREADY OWN IT, YOU PROBABLY NEVER WILL. (The Monaural BRITISH Import version is readily available, but has virtually NO VALUE.)
THIS LP IS SIMPLY THAT RARE AND HARD TO COME BY.
After nearly 50 YEARS of collecting, I own 2 copies; this is one of them.

LPM-3987 A TOUCH OF SADNESS MONO
WAX: E Beautiful Factory Luster and Shine remain. You will observe scuffing however, I could only find one light scratch on Side 1. Should have little to no affect on playback. RCA Top Dog, White Lettering. THIS IS NOT A DYNAFLEX! Dynaflex (orange label and flexible) was introduced about the same time.
JACKET: VG Ring type wear on the front. The Back looks good if not for the abundant writing on label. Also, seam splits that are identified in the accompanying pictures.
