Cover: 1967 1st UK pressing E J Day non-gatefold cover. Laminated front and matt rear cover. Has a very small name (LES) in top right corner of the rear cover. A little laminate creasing and some edge wear. Rates as VG+. Pretty good for a cover that is now 50 years old!!!. See photos.
Record: Play tested. Heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. No skips/jumps. Some hairlines but no serious scratches. Looks VG+ and plays VG+. There is some crackle & the odd pop (mostly between tracks) commensurate with a record that is now 50 years old. This record has to be heard in its original mono vinyl format to be really appreciated. To me it sounds fantastic and the odd bit of crackle simply adds to its authenticity.
This record had not been played for many years before I play tested it. I played it through three times and each time I cleared out the groove fluff that accumulated on the needle. Each time I played, it got better and better as the fluff was cleared out. I think a good clean might help clear out any residual fluff from the grooves.
Labels: Excellent. No writings/doodles. See scans.
Inner Sleeve: 'Patents Applied For' paper inner sleeve is Excellent. No writings/doodles.
