Description

VINYL

Side 1:   Plays Mint, visually M- with some ultra faint inner sleeve rubs, very glossy

Side 2:   Aside from one flaw, it plays perfectly. Even "The Wind Cries Mary" plays without distracting surface static. The flaw is a 14 revolution audible nick in the middle of "Third Stone From the Sun". If there was to be an issue, this song is the best place to have it since it's probably the weakest cut on the LP. Visually, EX+ with a few more light rubs than side 1.

LABELS

Side 1:    EX+ with a few light spindle marks

Side 2:   same as side 1

COVER

            Front:
EX overall. Front slick retains it's vibrant color with no ring wear, upper seam is solid, lower seam has a repaired split that was 1 1/2 inches and is now solid, another 1/2 inch split at the bottom near the opening, spine has a small nick and some paper loss at the bottom.

Back:   clean whites with no ring wear

INNER:   comes with original inner

DESCRIPTION:   I remember buying a copy of this LP the day it came out. It was one of those ground breaking records of the late 60's of which there were so many. I saw the "Experience" in Detroit...great concert.

_______________________________

I began buying records in the mid 60’s and I've always been fanatical about record care and storage.

The records I sell are from my personal collection, including backup copies. I've never been one to buy VG records or anything with an audible scratch, which eliminates the vast majority. If I do miss an audible flaw, then kindly contact me and it will be rectified.

I use standard US grading plus the UK grade of EX in order to eliminate the dreaded VG+++

Records are first inspected under a halogen light (the only light that shows every flaw) and any blemishes are examined with a 10x power magnifier which allows the grooves to be fully inspected. Then they’re play graded on a Linn Sondek LP12.

Over the decades, I've seen grading fads come and go, such as: “visual” grading by people who don't own a turntable; the current use of nonsense grades like NM+ and NM- as well as the dubious belief that there’s no such thing as a mint record.

As a record buyer, I've had a lot of over graded “garage sale” LPs arrive covered with gritty dust and greasy fingerprints while the seller claims a “visual” grade based on fantasy. Be assured that my records will arrive clean and fingerprint free.
