JIMI HENDRIX - Are You Experienced 

Rare 1967 UK first pressing 11-track MONO vinyl LP with A1/B1 matrices

Housed in a front laminated Ernest J. Day picture sleeve

As emblematic of its time as of its sorcerer-like creator, 1967's Are You Experienced? 

This LP unleashed Jimi Hendrix onto a world in the midst of such cultural and musical shake-ups that it really didn't seem as 'far out' as it actually was.

It wasn't just Hendrix's virtuosic skill as a pure player that was so impressive, it was even more the range and scope of sheer sound that he coaxed, cajoled and ripped out of his instrument. His songs filled ears with indelible sonic images and songs like 'Foxy Lady' and '3rd Stone From The Sun' pointed the way toward a new brand of rock-charged soul music.

Housed in the original Ernest J Day manufactured front laminated picture sleeve, the cover has no writing or tears. There is some light spine scuffing which has rendered most of the text illegible & minor ageing to the laminate, the colours are still vivid with none of the usual discolouring to the back panel.  

The labels are black with silver print & large Track Record logo at the top. There is some spindle marks visible around the centre although the labels remain bright & clean with no writing or tears (see pictures) 

The matrix numbers end A-1/B-1 indicating that this copy was one of the first pressed. They are as follows

You will be surprised at just how different this original mono mix sounds. Visually, the vinyl reveals a handful of minor scuffs but these are not deep enough to affect play, & thanks to the quality of sixties vinyl pressings from this period, the mono playback 

This is an increasingly difficult to find, complete UK mono original.

This is one of 30000 singles LP's, 12” and 7" that I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS; they run from the 1950's to the 2000's and cover every style of music.

I am slowly listing them one by one and they are in a verity of condition, most are good or very good, with some in shop purchased condition (i.e. Like new), I don’t have time to play every record listed, (well only the ones I want to listen to), therefore I can’t vouch for the playing condition of this item, however if you want to know how it plays please ask and I will play it and let you know if there is any excessive hissing, scratches and what condition the vinyl is in.

I have kept most of these records for 30+ years plus so my goal is to make sure they arrive with you in the same condition that I have kept them, enjoy bidding and please feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them

The record will be packaged in a protective plastic cover and be despatched in a custom cardboard record sleeve with a cardboard backer.

If you purchase more than one single the cost of Shipping is an additional 50p per item won.

If you purchase over 5 singles they are posted in a thick cardboard record box rather than a standard record postage sleeve at no extra cost, which means they are protected from the weather and the postal service, every item has proof of postage.

If you purchase over 5 items and you live are outside the UK, then before we confirm the final shipping costs we need to check with the post office as there may be an additional costs dependent on weight for shipping outside of the UK and as such we may ask for an higher amount than an extra 50p per extra item depending which part of the world you live in and how many items you have purchased.
