Description
JIMI HENDRIX Axis: Bold As Love 1967 UK TRACK 1st *STEREO* w/INSERT
SUPERB FRONT LAMINATED INTERNAL FLIPBACK - GREAT SOUND
THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCEAxis: Bold As Love
UK TRACK (613003) FIRST *STEREO* PRESSING (December 1967)
LOVELY COPY - SEEN LITTLE USE, HOUSED IN A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED, INTERNAL FLIPBACK EJ DAY GATEFOLD AND COMPLETE WITH THE GATEFOLD LYRIC SHEET AND ORIGINAL POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE WHICH IS DATE CODED '117' (November 1967)
MATRIX: 613003 A▽1 11 1 4 / 613003 B▽1 11 3
SIDE ONE: EXP / Up from the Skies / Spanish Castle Magic / Wait Until Tomorrow / Ain't No Telling / Little Wing / If 6 Was 9
SIDE TWO: You Got Me Floatin' / Castles Made of Sand / She's So Fine / One Rainy Wish / Little Miss Lover / Bold as Love
LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, unmarked labels with barely a spindle trace to be seen
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT
A nice heavyweight slab of vinyl (151g).
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen. Some hairlines and brush marks are visible under bright light but nothing major.
There is however, a mark on 'Little Miss Lover' which is just feelable to the touch and which is briefly audible but again, nothing major
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT
Plays beautifully throughout - wonderful sound quality and my play-check at loud volume found little to fault - no groove-wear or distortion and exceptional clean - this copy hasn't been played much at all.
There is a little surface on the run-ins, some minor background clicks caused by the mark mentioned above and the occasional isolated pop here and there but overall, a great copy and I found none of these imperfections in the slightest intrusive
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
Superb example, the front laminate (with the original small *STEREO* sticker) has a deep, unscratched glossy sheen and the colours remain incredibly strong and vibrant.
The inside in clean and unmarked, all flipback are sharp and undamaged and the edges and spine are crisp, sharp and unworn.
There is a soft bend to the top spine corner which is visible on the inside of the cover (please see close-up photos)
LYRIC INSERT: VERY GOOD
The gatefold lyric insert is printed on one side of thin glossy paper. It shows signs of handling and staining (where something has been spilt) especially visible on the white back bottom fold (please see close-up photos) but there is no structural damage - no splits, folds, heavy creases or rips
INNER: EXCELLENT
The original poly-lined inner sleeve with "Made In England" and British patent number printed in blue is in fine shape - no splits ('16080' is printed in the top corner)
