JIMI HENDRIX Band of Gypsys LP Withdrawn Puppet Sleeve VG/VG A1 B1 VERY RARE!
Very rare and collectable Jimi Hendrix album released in 1970 on the Track record label and with the original withdrawn “Puppet” sleeve!
I try to be as honest with my grading of vinyl as possible and would never offer albums or singles that were anything less than in good condition (using the Record Collector Magazine Grading
System as my guide - below). I clean (if required) and then play all the albums and singles I offer on e-bay before listing them.
Also, I supply a number of large good quality photographs whenever possible (see below). You need have no doubt what you are bidding on after checking these out.
All albums and 12" singles are sent out in strong card mailers with stiffeners.

Condition of vinyl: In very good condition and plays perfectly with very little if any deterioration in sound quality evident. There are a
number of light surface marks and hairlines visible under strong light but none that are audible. There are though a few scratches on side
B, track 2 (“Power of Soul”). I mention these because they are more prominent and you can feel them. Having said that they are not
intrusive and as the track in question is loud and pretty full on they are hardly noticeable. Just a few very light pops/clicks. No sticking or
jumping. I played this LP all the way through and it sounded great!
Condition of labels: In excellent condition with only minor spindle wear evident. The title of the album is misspelt on the label as “Band of
Gipsies”!
Matrix Numbers: A-1, B-1
Condition of cover: In very good condition with only very minor signs of wear, creasing and discolouration evident. You can still read the
spine text as well.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect
condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal
wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,
scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
