There is your proof that these LPs are both the first and very earliest UK pressings of this ground breaking LP that to me never seems to date. It still sounds unbelievably fresh and new today,in 68 it must have sounded like something from another planet. (except for Little miss strange). As you can see the beautiful gate fold sleeve bares the larger pictures of Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding and also has the BLUE TEXT LETTERING. This is the proof that this sleeve is also the first and earliest they printed. On later pressings the pictures were smaller and the text was white. The only flaws on the sleeve are very slight wring ware, and if you double click the pictures you might see a laminate crease that goes through Mitch Mitchells head. Also double click the picture with the naked ladies DIRECTLY on the spine you may be able to see a slight split to the picture of the beautiful lady`s arm right at the front of the girls. This is just the picture it does not go right through the spine. Other than that the sleeve is in great shape. So I would grade the sleeve as EXCELLENT MINUS.
The vinyl does have some very tiny hairlines to all four sides but you will need a very bright light to make them out. It plays very well indeed with no jumps skips or sticking. There is some back ground noise in the quieter parts of the LP but nothing spoils the play of the album. Id say this LP plays 8 1/2 out of 10. The labels do have some spindle trails but this record has been played with love and respect over the last 48 years. YES 48 YEARS old. A rare and true piece of UK ROCK HISTORY. A penny start and NO RESERVE !!!! Get this classic in the collection !
