Description
JIMI HENDRIX-ELECTRIC LADYLAND-TRACK
Original UK VINYL DOUBLE LP, with fully laminated sleeve. Released on the Track label in 1968, with "Made in Great Britain" label text. Very hard to find in any kind of condition, this is a set that is clean, tidy and plays superbly well.A quite wonderful and honest double lp that will not disappoint.
The very first issue came with blue lettering on the sleeve. The very next issue is this one, with white lettering but still with the nude ladies on the inside of the gatefold sleeve.
Playback is VERY important and I can say that the vast majority of the set plays with a stunning, sharp clarity. Some of the solo's are breathtaking when reproduced on the original vinyl !!!!
Matrix Numbers:- A1,B2,A2 and B2 (These matrix denote a VERY early pressing)
Sleeve- Iconic gatefold. Fully laminated and Made by Ernest J Day and Company Limited. Some ringwear and some wear to the opening. Some corner and edge wear. Some laminate cracking.Overall for its age-in a very respectable and clean condition. No writing and no unwanted additions.A lovely sleeve.
Inners-Comes with what I suspect are the original 'Plastic Bags can be Dangerous' polylined inners. Both are still strong.
Labels- The labels are clean showing only spindle marks.
Vinyl- Still retains a deep rich gloss to all four sides sides.Clean vinyl. There is the odd feint surface scratch, hairlines and odd line from play but nothing serious.Very nice looking vinyl that still shines under light.
Playback- I am delighted to say it plays without skip or jump !!!!! There are odd ticks and clicks in places. Some minor crackle in places.OVERALL I FOUND IT TO BE A VERY ENJOYABLE SOUND-THE VAST MAJORITY IS CLEAR AND STRONG.
A very old and rare lp.A record that MUST be in your collection. Not mint, but clean, presentable and VERY playable.
