Description
From my extensive Hendrix collection I am pleased to offer an exceptional example of the brilliant studio album by the JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE titled “ELECTRIC LADYLAND PART 1”, Catalogue Number 613010. This is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK STEREO PRESSING on the TRACK RECORD LABEL, with a superb 1st issue fully-laminated MacNEILL PRESS LTD. sleeve. Complete with the original poly-lined white inner sleeve. [The matrix numbers are 613010 Av2 and 613010 Bv2]. I'm also auctioning a beautiful copy of Electric Ladyland Part 2 at the moment which provides an excellent opportunity to acquire top playing copies of the complete Electric Ladyland double album set.
The sleeve is in EX condition with only very light wear and a few minor creases. The front and back covers are unmarked with virtually no lifting of the laminate.
The top quality Track record is in EX+ condition (apart from a small superficial rub mark on Track 1 of Side 1 both sides are visually Mint-). It’s a solid and inflexible pressing which sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Both sides retain a lovely deep mirror-like shine and it is clear that the record has not been played many times. The matt black Track labels are unmarked with only a few short spindle traces near the centres. There is virtually no wear to the spindle hole. Electric Ladyland is my favourite Hendrix album – it’s just so accomplished and timeless. The sound quality of these original Track pressings is truly incredible - very powerful and vibrant with wonderful bass tones. Both sides play MINT- throughout. There is no discernable deterioration in sound quality and virtually no unwanted noise at all. I think that it will be almost impossible to find another copy of this standard.
Complete with the correct white poly-lined inner sleeve which has a few light creases and some age discoloration.
Overall this is a beautiful copy of Part 1 of Hendrix's masterpiece which will grace any record collection.
GRADINGS
The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega P5 turntable fitted with an Elys 2 cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. My gradings are strict and in accordance with the following descriptions:
· MINT- Record is superb, almost like new, with just a few sleeve removal type surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve is near perfect in all respects.
· EX Record is a top quality example, with just a few very light surface marks which do not sound, and barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve has slight wear and/or creasing.
· VG Record has some visual surface marks, but still plays to a high standard without any major deterioration in sound quality – just a few clicks or light surface sound in places. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects but is still very presentable.
PACKAGING
LPs are packaged with care and well protected to ensure that they arrive safely in the same condition as they leave me. Records are removed from both inner and outer sleeves in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.
