Vinyl weight: both discs 135g (rigid)

In my ownership since bought new circa 1974. Has been stored in a PVC sleeve (included in sale) in a closed record cabinet. Played originally on my fathers Braun Radiogram and since late '70s only on high-end Thorens TD 166 and Linn Sondek turntables fitted with A&R C77 and E77 cartridges

Gatefold Sleeve - estimated to be in EXCELLENT condition

Very glossy, possibly laminated with 'Printed & made by Howards Printers (Slough) Limited' and 'Also available on Musicassette No. 3500 112 and 8 Track Cartridge No. 3870 004' at the bottom of the gatefold interior

Cover - Gloss has dulled a bit from light scuffing but remains pleasingly bright. Very slight ringmark fr. Several light writing indentations visible when angled into light. Several light surface creases, 3 heavier half-one inch creases at centre of spine, one of which has just broken the laminate

Spine - Other than the 3 creases mentioned above undamaged and smart

Edges - No discernable wear, no card lifting, several small light creases. Very smart

Corners - Minimal wear, very sharp

Interior of gatefold near-mint with perhaps the slightest scuffing and creasing at spine

Inner Sleeves - esimated to be in EXCELLENT condition

One is polythene-lined transparent at label and a little yellowed, the other plain white paper. Presumably the latter is a replacement though I don't recall it. Both undamaged, slight creasing

Discs - estimated to be in EXCELLENT+ condition

Anti-static pad applied before each spin though never cleaned

Played quite frequently but not for many years prior to testing for this sale

No warping

No scratches, no scuffs detected under bright light, deep gloss black, perhaps slight evidence of groove-whitening in places

No pops, crackles, jumps or sundry unwanted noises and the music sounds as clean as it ever did to my ears

Labels - estimated to be in EXCELLENT+ condition

Traces of fingermarks otherwise undamaged with no spindle marks

An excellent example of this sought-after double LP with the discs being particularly smart. Gloss/laminate cover shows a little sign of age and minor seconadry damage but is still very attractive. Will grace any collection in which smart condition is important

Like most of my ageing LPs it may benefit from professional cleaning

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
