A brilliant experiment in psychedelic blues, AXIS was issued in 1967 hot on the heels of his first, debut lp "ARE YOU EXPERIENCED".
He was the talk of London Town for his astounding live shows and of course his incredible dexterity on the Fender Stratocaster - electric guitar was never to be regarded in the same way after this.
In the USA, his mind blowing performance at Monterrey for a stunned audience - just recovering from an audio visual assault from THE WHO - was an awakening moment for everyone!
This ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESSING copy is in a nice, respectable playing condition, with no scratches into the grooves, but has seen some plays.
Maybe not for the MINT collectors but very decent.
CONDITION;
Vinyl is playing great, with light general superficial surface marks under a bright lamp. I grade this VG++
Lables are clean Matt black with silver text, no tears pen or stickers. VG++.
The LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER is VG+, some corner wear and signs of handling of course, also a little laminate creases/separation - otherwise clean and not badly scuffed or aged.
Note; The first Stereo copies of this album were stickered; - this indeed HAS the original sticker still attached. I think it may be removable, but I won't as it is quite desirable to many collectors!
