Description
Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!
I specialize in 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between! I've been dealing records for years, but i'm quite new to the ebay game so i'd like to tell you all of my intentions. I travel all over the UK hunting out the VERY BEST records I can find. Obviously, 90%+ of the ones I can find are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? I offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!!
I'm going to start by listing 20 LP's a week, all timed to end 10 days later. Hopefully after a while, i'll be able to step things up a gear or two in good time. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I can ever possibly find!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered", weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).
I intend to become one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and i'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!
I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!
Title : The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You ExperiencedLabel & year : Original Track 612 001 LP , UK Mono 1967 Mega Rare 1st Press Vinyl!!!
Matrix's : Side A : 612001 A v 1, Side B : 612001 B v 1.
About : Ultra rare Original 1967 UK day of release 1st press vinyl!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible genius!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!!
The LP :
Labels :
Classic UK Original 1st Press labels!!!. Both sides are AWESOME with NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has a few mild signs of age such as a few light spindle marks from light use over the years!!! AWESOME for a 40 year old record!!! Both must grade overall as Very Good++if not better!!!
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Thick UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT for it's age, and apart from one deeper mark on Third Stone (non-sounding and doesn't affect play), NO nasty deep scratches whatsoever, and NO deep groove-breaking viscious scuffs, OR any groovewear whatsoever!!! The only blemishes are just a few light scuff marks, and a few light hairlines and age marks here and there, and just some of the usual light wispy sleeve traces (only visible in direct angled light) from general use and where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! On a modern, thin LP, these marks would possibly hinder play, but because this is such an ultra thick quality 1st pressing, it plays fine with no trouble AT ALL!!! Well used, but definitely AWESOME for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall as Good+ if not better!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me!!!) Record : Audio - Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY (much better than the visual grade) with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It really sounds great with NO hops, distortion, sticks, or skips!!! Only has a constant but definitely acceptable low level "bluesman's fag" static crackle in quieter places such as on the run in grooves (we are NOT talking frying bacon here, it's more like the sound of atmosphere!), and non-repetitive light clicks e.t.c here and there, but it really doesn't come close to overshadowing or hindering the music AT ALL and cannot be heard most of the time!!! Besides, i'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! A hugely enjoyable listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear and 100% free of distortion!!! FANTASTIC for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably as Very Good (maybe minus) if not better!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me!!!) Sleeve :Original 1967 1st press front laminated sleeve!!! Very hard to find this sleeve in ANYTHING approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT too bad at all, and still looks GREAT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO really bad markings AT ALL, and still remains quite strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a signs of usual ageing, such as light creases, some ringwear, a small split and rubbing to the spine, some light white paint trails on the back (I bought it of a former artist!!!), a few light touches of ink rubbing here and there on the unlaminated back, denting/rounding to the four corners (which EVERY vintage LP seems to have) and some usual whitening to some of the edges and spine from where it has sat on the shelf, and maybe (just to be sure!!!) one or two other ultra light signs of ageing, but NOTHING that really stands out to note!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to talk it down and only list the negatives, but this is still in GREAT condition for this sleeve compared to many I see!!! The front picture looks awesome and does the iconic picture TRUE justice with undulled tones and NO discolouration to the front whatsoever, and despite the small spine split and having to survive the last 40 years, it still remains suprisingly strong and solid and NOT flimsy AT ALL!!! Believe me, to find this sleeve in condition as GOOD as this, is INCREDIBLY hard!!! A nice sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one like this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! Must grade overall as Good if not better!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me!!!)
Summary : A GREAT playing example of this INCREDIBLY RARE classic LP!!! Not one for mint collectors, but those of you who buy records to play will get many years of audio enjoyment from this awesome UK 1st Press!!!Hard to find in any condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS GREAT AS THIS!!! YOU WILL NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!
Please take a look at all my other auctions for many other ultra rare classic LPs, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks again for looking, it's truly appreciated!! Cheers!!!I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional light mark and light use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
