Description
This is an original version of this iconic record dating from 1967 when I purchased it myself. I am not a record retailer or collector but as I no longer have a record player I finally need to dispose of my record collection.
The record has not been played in earnest for at least 30 years. For an item that is now over 50 years old it is in remarkable condition. However in terms of the standard required by purists as I understand it, the condition of the vinyl is not very good. There are visible scratches and blemishes on the surface. That said the recording is only in Mono so the sound quality has always been secondary to the creative genius of the great man.
The sleeve is in reasonable condition having been inside a protective outer sleeve for 40+ years. Remarkably the inner liner sheet containing the track lyrics is fully intact - albeit in a moment of adolescent creativity I appear to have over inked a number of the words in a misplaced attempt at art.
