THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - ELECTRIC LADYLAND 1968 ORIGINAL UK PRESSING ON TRACK RECORDS CAT No. 613008/9
Sought-after original UK LP, as identified by the following characteristics:
- Artist and title in white text on front cover
- Cover spread is fully laminated inside and out
- Hendrix on the right hand side when opening the gatefold (behind back sleeve).
- Small sepia images of Redding & Mitchell on left (Front cover behind it), with white tracks/credit text below them. "Track Record" logo center, E.J.Day print data to left. Erratic use of upper & lower-case in titles.
- No printing to the left of the Track logo inside the gatefold.
- Discs in poly-lined white paper punch-hole sleeves. "Patent no 800513 & 973939".
- Disc 1 carries sides A and D, disc two has B and C.
CONDITION OF THE VINYL The record surfaces have some fine lines and light marks, but have certainly not been played to death. Labels are clean with moderate spindle marking.
On test, the majority of the album plays really well, with just occasional ticks/surface noise. However, it should be noted that (on my turntable at least) there are 2 skips a couple of seconds into side B. I can't really see any mark that should cause this so it is either a very small imperfection or even perhaps a pressing fault.
CONDITION OF THE SLEEVE AND INNERS The gatefold sleeve has some wear at the edges, along with some creasing and cracks in the laminate. I have tried to show these details in the photos so please have a look and assess them yourself.
The original inners have some discolouration and creasing. The discs will be despatched in new anti-static sleeves (but obviously the originals will be included).
The album will be packed very carefully and securely in sturdy packaging to ensure it reaches you safely. You will see many favourable comments about the quality of our packaging in our previous feedback.
