Description
Up for sale in this auction is a very rare copy of, "Electric Ladyland" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience! Released by Track Record in the UK in 1968, this copy features the nude cover that was quickly changed. This is a second pressing with the machine stamped matrix being scribbled out by hand on side C. There are other defining features of this LP like all white text, Hendrix's image on the right side of the inner gatefold, and the way the laminate is pressed onto the jacket. I will include more information about this pressing below. Vinyl is in VG- to VG shape with some signs of use and wear present. Some hairlines and small scratches present. Clean center labels. Gatefold jacket is in VG to VG+ shape with the laminate still intact. Seams are in great shape, some light wear around the edges and some light laminate creasing. Corners are all pretty sharp but have some light wear/stubbing.

Original ''naked ladies'' cover.
Cover spread has 'unwrapped/floating' gloss laminate applied, matt print areas left exposed at the two cut edges where the albums insert.
Hendrix on the right hand side when opening the gatefold (behind back sleeve).
Small sepia images of Redding & Mitchell on left (Front cover behind it), with white tracks/credit text below them. "Track Record" logo center, E.J.Day print data to left. Erratic use of upper & lower-case in titles.
NO printing to the left of the Track logo inside the gatefold.
Discs in poly-lined white paper punch-hole sleeves. "Patent no 800513 & 973939" "Made in England 108 42".
Disc 1 carries sides A and D, disc two has B and C.
On disc 2, side C the machine-stamped run-out has been scratched out and the correct info has been added by hand.
In the BAOI field a ''?'' denotes a scratched-out character.
Recorded: Initial tracks at Olympic Studios, London, January 1968. Completed at Record Plant Studios, Studio A, New York, June to August 1968.
Performers, additional to the band, and technical credits added retrospectively. Taken from the authorized Hendrix family trust releases on the Experience Hendrix label.

- M Mint - Perfect in all ways.
- M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
- NM- Near Mint Minus - Extremely well cared for record. Probably a record that's been around for some years but extremely well looked after, but still not quite new enough to call Mint.
- VG++ Very Good Plus - As close to NM as it comes.
- VG+ Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
- VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
- VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
- G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
