A stunning example of one of the rarest Jimi Hendrix Records made. It is the legendary 1968 UK Track Records earliest 1st pressing of Electric Ladyland! What makes this record so special is that the album cover was changed during the first week of press as the blue inner gatefold text on the E.J.Day laminated sleeve was deemed not to stand out enough. It was immediately corrected to white text. The pictures were also shrunk for all later pressings. You are bidding on the earliest UK 1st pressing with the blue text & larger pictures, thick & chunky discs and 1//1//1//1 matrix endings.

These 2 discs are absolutely beautiful! Their weight is amazing, they retain a beautiful deep shine with virtually no signs of spindlewear, and maybe the faintest trace of a wispy hairline. I would guess they have been played only a handful of times ever, The matt Track centre labels are superb with no defects and virtually no spindle lines. I’d easily grade these rare 1st press discs as excellent! The important 1st press E.J. Day gatefold sleeve retains all of its deep laminated shine. It is a great example and lays nice and flat with just some minor laminate creasing and feathering of the opening edge. A great example of a very rare sleeve which must grade at lease Vg. Please note ebay have now banned photos of the front cover of this album. Hence I have not been able to include any. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it is just a case of adhering to pedantic ebay rules. A great chance to own a very rare record is superb condition. Like all my auctions it has a very low start and no reserve. I’ve been collecting vinyl for a very long time and it is without doubt one of the cleanest looking and sounding 1st press copies I have ever heard of this album.
