Description
Lovely BLUE text first press copy of this rare LP. Here’s the description and I will be as concise as possible!
The vinyl is in conservatively graded as VG+ and in lovely playable condition, about as good as it gets for this LP. Play tested and sounds GREAT!! There are some hairlines but no major feelable scratches. No skips, and only some very minor surface noise in the quieter parts to be expected record of this age.The tape hiss from original mastering is more noticeable than any surface noise!
The labels are clean and sharp with very minimal spindling so it would appear that this record has been well looked after.
First press UK stereo matrix numbers are 613009 a1 / b1 for sides B / C and 613008 a1/ b1 for sides A / D with the crossings out associated with this pressing out that are too convoluted to detail. It’s there. Lets keep this simple!
Blue text sleeve all intact, with large pictures of Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding. . There is no laminate loss, some creasing and typical edge wear from storage, mostly in the centre of the spine but it has not gone through. There is a short tear through the Track Logo on the bottom inner of the gatefold, which looks like a crease. Interestingly, this Track logo is in blue, whereas most blue text copies have the Track logo in white. A pretty tidy sleeve with typical wear associated with a record of this age.
Poly lined inner sleeves are intact and browned as 50 year old paper should be!.

All records are carefully play tested before listing on a Technics SL1600 turntable. Most of my records will be listed as VG or EX even if they are in better condition. I don't list anything lower unless it is very rare.
Records are graded according to the official Record Collector grading guide below.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
