Description
The Jimi Hendrix Experience / Hey Joe [b/w] 51st Anniversary - WB/Reprise Records 0572 (US)(1967) ...This auction is for a rare, original promotional issue 7" 45RPM Record on (US) vinyl.
Although not written by Jimi Hendrix himself, “Hey Joe” is indelibly associated with the guitarist, partly because the song was his first hit record, but also because he instils his own individuality in the song, especially in the relaxed phrasing of the vocal. As a song, “Hey Joe” certainly isn’t spectacular. What makes the song above average is Hendrix’s sheer charisma – his vocal is idiosyncratic, yet perfectly suited to the song. It goes without saying that the guitar solo is awesome.
The Record is in fairly nice (Very Good to Very Good+) condition (record shows wear but plays through well and sounds good). Definitely worth owning. Record will include a new white paper sleeve and plastic outer sleeve cover. Satisfaction Guaranteed. For payment please use Paypal (other payments are no longer accepted due to eBay’s new policy.
