1988 HMV LIMITED EDITION BOX SET

Strictly limited vinyl press of the 1967 debut LP~~this is 977/1500 no issue.

This comes complete in embossed Lp size thick card box, certificate of authenticity and 10 page booklet.

This was the first digitally remastered mix of the album~~done by Chris olms in London~~it sounds really good with excellent bass sound~~Red House is retained as the Mono mix for this release.

Now extremely hard to find and sought after by Jimi Hendrix collectors.

OVERALL CONDITION

SLEEVE~VG+/EX-

(sleeve fine except for bottom seam split~~the sleeves within the box were notorious for this)

BOX ~EX-

(a little bottom left staining but nothing serious)

(NOTE~~top right original sticker + embossed and with box 100% complete)

VINYL~EX-

(plays faultlessly as a strong EX++ and sounds superb)

BOOKLET~EX+

To be honest most would say overall in near excellent condition with minimal play of LP.

GRADING I grade records firstly visually and sample aurally for overall sound quality. Should you feel I have misgraded please remember that I offer a full NO QUIBBLE refund or agreed price reduction if I am off the mark.

NEAR MINT (NM)~~a top copy~audio listening and visual grading has not revealed any imperfections. Lp is guaranteed to sound superb and shows very little sign of playing.

NEAR EXCELLENT (EX or EX+)~~careful visual inspection audio sampling has not revealed any major imperfections such as clicks or skips~~the LP should sound superb and it will be hard to find a better copy. Sleeve and any inserts/inners are in excellent shape. You will not be disappointed.

VG+~~ audio listening has revealed some surface noise or the odd crackle. Visually the Lp may have light scuffs but nothing major though has obviously been played regularly. Sleeve might have light creases or ringwear. The Lp and sleeve will be fine until a better copy comes along.

Remember this is NOT a mint or excellent condition album.

STILL PERFECTLY PLAYABLE AND STILL AN ACCEPTABLE SOUND!!

VG~~not great and will have spindle wear, surface noise and crackles but I will flag up this grading rarely. However, NO deep felt scratches and it should track OK on your deck. This will do till a better copy comes along but is probably worth it for rarity value.
