Description
JIMI HENDRIX ACETATE
Side one comprises live material from Jimi Hendrix circa 1968 that subsequently appeared on the Trade Mark of Quality album Broadcasts.
Side Two includes the Rolling Stones/John Lennon performance of Yer Blues Jam from the Rock & Roll Circus and an extended version of CSN&Y Bluebird. Yer Blues Jam and Bluebird found there way onto the UK album Gulp!. Yer Blues Jam appeared on the CBM (contraband) album British Blue Jam. Bluebird was also issued by TMOQ.

I obtained this rare one-off cut acetate from Ian Sippen before his death in the early 1970's. Ian and his buisness partner, Peter Sherder were major players in the White Label business producing product here in the UK and importing coloured vinyl from the Trade mark of Quality pressing plant in California and packaging in the UK in generic white sleeves. There is more information regarding Ian and Peter in Clinton Heylin's excellent book Bootleg.
Condition:
The disc is near mint having only being played a handful of times on top quality hi-fi gear. Labels are near mint (see scan) with no sign of spindle wear. The generic die cut inner sleeve has Peter's name on the corner and is in very good condition. The sleeve is a white generic affair with track details hand written by Ian Sippen.
If like me, you have followed the story of White Label product over the past 30 odd years, you won't need telling that this is a remarkable slice of rock-history. It is the only copy in existence and it is unlikely to ever come up for sale again.
Postage: the postage may seem steep, but this is to reflect the fact that acetate's are breakable (like the old 78's) and a substantial amount of packing will be needed.
