Description

Up for auction is a 1970 copy of a 45 by Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypsys on Reprise. This is a white label DJ copy and has the numbers 4-70 written in black pen on the Izabella side.  Catalog number is Reprise 0905.  The copy plays through on both sides but has pops and crackles throughout.  Here's what is unique about this record. 1. The Band of Gypsys band never was on a Reprise album, just this 45. 2. Izabella remained unreleased for years after Jimi's death finally making it on  "War Heroes" and , later, a reconstructed "First Rays of the New Rising Sun'  3. This record was released after Electric Ladyland and before Capitol's first Band of Gypsys record. Jimi played Izabella at Woodstock and it appeared on Woodstock 2.  A totally rare and collectable Hendrix record.
