Description
Tempo 10" LP LAP2.
Jimmy Deuchar ensemble- Jimmy Deuchar (trumpet),Tubby Hayes (tenor), Derek Humble (alto and baritone sax), Ken Wray (trombone), Victor Feldman (piano), Lennie Bush (bass), Phil Seaman (drums)
Recorded London 26th April 1955.
Tracks (all named after strong bottled beer!) are IPA Special, Treble Gold, Basshouse and Final Selection.
Condition
Overall the LP and sleeve are in good used condition.
The labels are nice and clean with little sign of wear at the spindle hole. The record has a nice sheen. There is some light scuffing and both sides have a set of finger marks. These might be removed with an extensive professional clean.
I have fully play tested the record. It plays without skips or jumps. Light Clicks and ticks are common but the sound quality is still very good and the record can be generally enjoyed. The amount of surface noise varies (in louder passages this cannot be heard at all) but track 2 on side 1 does have some particularly repetitive ticks at the start. Still, all said and done the playing is fantastic.
The sleeve is very sound with no splits or cuts just slight moulding around the LP shape. A little light discoloration to the rear.
A very rare vintage record.
