RARE JIMMY DEAN LP WITH
ELTON BRITT
This is a chance to own a rare Jimmy Dean LP with guest star Elton Britt. Elton Britt sings two songs on the B side. I cannot find any other instance in which Jimmy Dean and Elton Britt teamed up.
This record, which is on the Gladwynne label, does not appear in any of the price guides or catalogs that I have seen. In my fourty years of collecting Country Records, I have never seen another copy. Neither this record nor the label Gladwynne came up in an exhaustive search of the Interent. It is quite possibly a "one of a kind".
Jimmy Dean lives just a few miles from my home, on the James River, just east of Richmond, VA. I see him and his wife, Donna, frequently about town; and I run across many of his records. But, I have never seen this one.
This is a 33rpm vinyl record. I rate the cover at VG+. It has only a tiny blemish on one corner. I rate the vinyl at VG+. It is so clean that it looks like it just came off the press even though it is quite old. And my ratings are always quite conservative.
The camera emphasized the vertical bands on the cover. They are part of the design. But, they are not nearly as promient as the picture implies.
