Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This highly collectible and rare four (4) song, Jimmy Driftwood EP is on the original RCA Label, and is entitled "Soldier's Joy", by the original writer and arranger of Johnny Horton's hit single "The Battle Of New Orleans", Jimmy Driftwood---from the late 1950's. The EP features a really neat cover drawing of Revolutionary War days and four great songs, including the title track, plus "Tennessee Stud", "Arkansas Traveler", and "Razorback Steak". Please continue to read on and check out all the descriptions and pictures below. LABEL INFO:It is on the original RCA Label---EPA-4345---and it is in very, very nice condition. This copy is an original very 1st pressing and I see absolutely no spindle lines around the center hole at all, which indicates to me that the EP wasn't played very much, if even at all; VINYL INFO: The vinyl is extremely shiny, clean and nice with no flaws to report at all---I honestly see absolutely nothing negative to report and it appears to me to be virtually "like new" in condition---what a great and rare find; JACKET INFO: The jacket is also super nice with no real serious flaws here either. There is a very small cut in the top left corner which removes a very small part of the jacket, or at least "rounds off" the corner a bit. Otherwise though, in my opinion, it's just about as good as the day it was 1st purchased some 45-50 years ago (but see the pictures below and judge for yourself); INTERESTING FACTS: You just don't see these extremely rare and original C&W from the '50's EP's out there anymore---not at all---and I have several others listed in this same auction, with more to come soon. I will have other rare 1950-60's EP's/45's/PS's/and LP's to list in current and/or upcoming auctions (including C&W artists like The Wilburn Bros, Ernest Tubb, Hank Thompson, Red Foley, Lefty Frizzell, and Johnny Cash, plus RnR/RnB artists like Joe Turner, Fats Domino, Ike and Tina Turner, The Fireballs, Beatles, Elvis and many others). So, please continue to check out this site. I'm into selling off alot of my personal collection---and most all of these records are in near mint condition and quite rare. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! When attempting to view my pictures, please be a little patient as they do take a few seconds to fully focus---but they do come in. And, if anyone ever needs more info/pics than what is listed, please email me. I will respond!! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES are as follow: In the United States, buyer agrees to pay $2.00 for the first EP---or 45 RPM record---purchased, and then just $.50 per record after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to email me for their exact costs. I accept payments by way of money orders, good checks, and/or PAYPAL. Again, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There will be many more to come!
