(the soul voice of) JIMMY ELLER AND HIS LITTLE PEOPLE - The Way of the Brokenhearted / Bad Luck (Vermillion, 1967).
Totally unknown 45 that I only picked up because it happens to be on LINK WRAY's label. I've asked several collectors about this record and nobody's been able to tell me much--other than the fact that these guys were from the DC area. I'm guessing that this record's from 1966 or 1967 based on the label style (which is the same as other Vermillion releases from the era) and the fact that Vern Wray (labelhead) moved out of Maryland by the early 70s. The vinyl grades at a high VG+ w/ good gloss and light signs of wear.
The mid-tempo b-side of the record is the winner w/ backup vocals, brass and some fuzz guitar towards the middle and end. I'm not an aficionado of this genre, so I've included complete sound samples for your perusal. Thanks!
