JIMMY HAMILTON – CLARINET IN HIGH FI – URANIA 1208 – EX/EX – MONO

There are three sessions on this LP in 1954. The first features Jimmy Hamilton on clarinet, Kenny Kersey on piano, Sidney Gross on guitar, Jimmy Woode on bass and Sam Woodyard on drums. Their selections are: BLUES FOR A PRINCESS, EASY LIVING and ROSE ROOM. The second session features Hamilton with Earl Knight on piano, Sidney Gross on guitar and Oscar Pettiford on bass. They play: TEA FOR TWO. The third session features Hamilton with Ernie Royall on trumpet, Lucky Thompson on tenor, Earl Knight on piano, Sidney Gross on guitar, Oscar Pettiford on bass and Osie Johnson on drums. They perform: SALUTE TO CHARLIE PARKER; MOOD INDIGO; EASY TO LOVE and PRELUDE TO A MOOD. This is a MONO recording.

I have graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on Side I is clean of any marks. The vinyl on Side II is clean, except for a few marks on Cut 1 with some slight surface noise on that one cut, which do not interfere with play. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole and the vinyl still retains its original luster. The record jacket was graded EX, as the lamination on the right sider of the cover is beginning to peel, which you can see in the photo. There is some slight discoloration on the liner notes. There are no taped seams. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.10 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.95 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $22.30 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
