You are bidding for a CLASSIC US 50'S JUMP JIVE/ BLUES 78 RPM single by JIMMY LIGGINS AND THE DROPS OF JOY called GOIN' DOWN WITH THE SUN backed with THAT'S WHAT'S KNOCKING ME OUT issued on the SPECIALITY record label in the US in 1951, cat number SP 418 (BLACK WHITE AND YELLOW LABEL). The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels. The record has little wear with few slight surface scuffs and no scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise.. CLASSIC US R& B/ JIVE BLUES from JIMMY LIGGINS with two great rocking tracks from one of the R&B /JIVE BLUES PIONEERS who was to have such an influence on the R&R SCENE especially LITTLE RICHARD, ELVIS CHUCK BERRY and BILL HALEY who were all influenced by his wild and manic stage presence. CLASSIC JUMP JIVE. A little piece of recording history... RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.
