JIMMY & THE OFFBEATS-45-“Stronger Than Dirt” b/w “(I Ain’t No) Miracle Worker”-Bofuz Records #BF-1113-Great and CRUDE KILLER 1966 Louisiana Garage-Punk. A side is a punk discourse on the Ajax tv commercials of the day-guitar dominated with Jaggeresque gutteral lead vocal, and a Vox Continental in the mix. Overall structure sounds like the Seeds’ “Pushin’ Too Hard”. B side is a primitive and great version of “(I Ain’t No) Miracle Worker”- made popular by The Chocolate Watchband and Brogues with a great and crude lead guitar break. Great 2-sided Punker. Very cool Louisiana label as you probably know. Condition: Record is close to MINT-Minus-BUT-NOTE: there is WHAT LOOKS LIKE a crack-it’s goes WITH the grooves and is about 2 inches long towards the outer edge—BUT IT IS NOT a crack-it is in the pressing—I have seen one other copy with EXACTLY the same thing—it was in the metal pressing plates used to press this—VERY hard to see unless you REALLY LOOK in a light angle..ALSO NOTE-although this LOOKS beautiful and NO wear, it is a VERY NOISY pressing with ALOT of background noise evident...in the pressing , not due to condition...the other copy I have seen of this was noisy also...I believe all copies of this pressed were like this...
