Description

Chicago Blues Legend

Rare collectible Promo white label copy of one of his biggest hits. Essential in any Chicago Blues collection.

JIMMY REED

You Know I Love You

Take Out Some Insurance

Vee- Jay 414

One of his biggest hits. Chicago blues classic. Great great record.

Great Chicago Blues Singer, guitarist and performer

Chicago Blues great. At the time of these recordings Jimmy Reed was as popular in Chicago and with Blues audiences as Wolf and Muddy.

Influenced Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan ( who wrote a song about him) and The Rolling Stones who recorded his songs

He has been called perhaps the most accessible bluesmen of all which is why he got airplay

Despite this whether it was being on Vee-Jay and not Chess. Having alcohol problems, and not being promoted the way Wolf and Muddy were has caused him not to be as well known

Great songwriter. Great performer.

Classic Chicago Blues record.

Essential Chicago Blues for any Blues collector or fan

I believe these recordings will increase in value greatly as people explore more and more post war Blues
