JIMMY SCOTT AND THE MAXIMUM BREED -- Allulo b/w Doh

(Revolution-Soul REVS 505> Mega-rare 1970 soul-funk single on obscure British label (best known for its reggae output) by legendary African-born conga player Jimmy Scott and his band. Jimmy was a veteran jazz player who worked the British clubs in the 1950s and later with Geogie Fame and is known to have inspired Paul McCartney's 1968 song Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da and he even played percussion on their track. The B-side Alullo is the one to play here -- a 5 minute+ wild, organ and brass-led uptempo funky instrumental jam with an extended conga break!!! The A-side (Doh) is a ska-influenced sax and organ filled funky dance groove with vocals. The record is in excellent condition.
