This US ORIGINAL press is on the New York USA, blue and white Blue Note label. It has some essential elements of the early presses; the ear and VAN GELDER etched in the dead wax. The vinyl is complete with the original Blue Note inner sleeve. Released in 1962, the album features Quentin Warren and Donald Bailey.
The vinyl is in Very Good condition. It is pressed on wonderful heavy 60's vinyl and has a superb lightly played gloss. There are a couple of small marks and a few wispy hairlines, but the vinyl shows no wear to grooves or sign of heavy play. The label is superb, the white is bright, the blue is solid and there is only the very slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Very Good. The heavy vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and plays through exceptionally well. Very rich and vibrant. There are moments of noise and a couple of clicks but it is still extremely clear and can be enjoyed from start to finish.
The heavy card sleeve is in Very Good condition. The black is bold and the image is sharp. The text is clear and the colours are vivid. There is light opening edge wear. The back has the slightest discolouration but isextremely clean and clear. The whole sleeve is solid and the spine is firm with sharp text.
