Description
J.J. Cale's fifth studio album, "5", released in 1979, Shelter Recording Co SR-3163. Promo copy in VG+ Condition (vinyl) and EX Condition (sleeve).
Includes "Don't Cry Sister," "Sensitive Kind," "Katy Kool Lady" and nine additional iconic J.J. Cale songs.
Prior to play-grading album was cleaned using the Spin Clean MKII Record Washing System. Play-graded on an Expression III turntable with Ortofon Red 2 stylus and cartridge.
Clean black vinyl LP play-graded Very Good Plus Condition. It easily could be play-graded Excellent Condition elsewhere, but there are four audible tics early in Track One, Side One (Thirteen Days), and a few minor tics on Side Two, hence the VG+ rating (and reduced price). Otherwise this album plays Excellent, and stereo separation is superb (LP Mastered at CBS Nashville by Jerry Watson).
High shine, no visible scratches, skips or warping. Minor ambient noise, typically between tracks if heard.
Labels are clean and bright, text is easily readable. No excess spindle hole wear or errant spindle hole marks.
Jacket is graded Excellent Condition, with almost no user wear. Heavy duty fiber is clean and sturdy. Colors are bright and jacket text is easy to read. Spines are straight with no seam splits. Corners are crisp. "For Promotion Only" stamp upper right front as shown in closeup.
No cutout marks, drill holes, saw cuts, clipped corners, major creases, water stains, brown stains (foxing), ink or pen marks.
Inner sleeve (inlay) is an aftermarket upgraded polylined paper sleeve.
