JOAN JETT YOU DON'T OWN ME / I LOVE ROCK N ROLL (original version with the Sex Pistols) VERTIGO RECORDS (6198 264)
Original 1979 Holland Exclusive Pressing
By far the most rare of all Joan Jett records, this is the infamous original 1979 white label Holland pressing of her first ever single. Upon leaving her band The Runaways, Joan went to England to record some tracks with Steve Jones and Paul Cook of The Sex Pistols. Prior to the self-released version of her debut album, a handful of this single were pressed by Vertigo Records and sold exclusively in Holland back in 1979.
It features the original version of "I Love Rock 'N Roll" with The Sex Pistols playing back up for Joan. Years later a re-recorded version of the song would become Joan's biggest hit single and this Holland original has since remained the most sought after of all Joan Jett records. Beautiful cover and is suitable for display with record near mint (even more rare to find an original this nice). The ultimate addition to any collection and a very rare piece of punk history that will continue to grow in value.
