Description
JODY GRIND Far Canal LP 1970 White/Lilac “t” logo label A1 B1 VG-/VG VERY RARE!
Very rare and collectable Jody Grind album released in 1970 on the Transatlantic record label and in very good condition.
This monster prog album is becoming very difficult to find in any condition! This one is far from mint but it plays perfectly and I have
explained its flaws below…
I try to be as honest with my grading of vinyl as possible and would never offer albums or singles that were anything less than in good condition (using the Record Collector Magazine Grading
System as my guide – see below). I clean (if required) and then play all the albums and singles I offer on e-bay before listing them.
Also, I supply a number of good quality photographs whenever possible. You need have no doubt what you are bidding on after checking these out.
All albums and 12" singles are sent out in card mailers with strong stiffeners.
Format: Vinyl Stereo LP (33/3rpm)
Record Label: Transatlantic
Catalogue No: TRA 221
Country: UK
Year: 1970
Condition of vinyl: In very good (-) condition and plays perfectly with very little deterioration in sound quality evident. There are many minor surface
marks/hairlines visible under strong light but they are not audible. There is however a few minor scratches that are audible. Having said that, I played this album
all the way through and it sounded great. The scratches are not that intrusive and do not spoil the pleasure of this Prog monster! I find that these early seventies
heavy weight vinyl releases look worse than they sound and this is certainly the case here.
Matrix Numbers: A1, B1.
Condition of labels: In excellent condition with only very minor spindle wear evident. Someone has written their name on side 2.
Condition of cover: In very good condition with only fairly minor signs of wear and creasing evident. The back of the sleeve is damaged (not torn though) - it
looks like something was stuck to it at some point (please study the photos I have provided).
Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect
condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal
wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,
scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
