Description

In 1977 Joe O’Donnell made his only solo record called Gaodhal's Vision which featured the talents of Rory Gallagher on many of the tracks. There are smokin' parts offset by cinematic atmospheric pieces. It has some brilliant violin riffing which shows the instrument can rock.

Joe O'Donnell is a violinist from Limerick who pioneered the design and use of electric violin and his impressive CV looks like a who's who of UK prog rock, not just Irish rock. He has appeared with Granny's Intentions and Rory Gallagher, as well as a host of prog & rock names like East Of Eden, Rare Bird, Trees, Headstone, Jade Warrior and Henry McCullough.

Vinyl Grade: +VG, a high +VG, lovely gloss, some light lines but nothing significant looking.

Sound Quality: Excellent sound with no noticeable surface noise apart from the start/intro of track one, side 1. Fully play tested to check.

Cover: excellent gatefold cover, flat, no damage, minor edge wear.

Labels: clear, no spindle wear

Records graded directly under very bright table light for the visual grade. Sound quality checked by playing to ensure that visual grade and sound quality are consistent.

Mint M and Near Mint NM: Looks perfect as new. N and NM is only appropriate for new reissue records and not for vintage vinyl that has been played, regardless of how perfect it may look.

Excellent Plus +EX: Lovely gloss, no visible scratches, scuffs or marks. Has been played but has been handled well and still in great condition. (highest grade that I use for vintage vinyl)

Excellent EX: Lovely gloss, shows some slight signs of wear, including light trace/hairlines from the inner sleeve, light scuffs or very light marks that you would not expect to hear as surface noise.

Very Good Plus +VG: Shows a few more very light marks than is allowable for EX so not quite EX. These signs of use would be expected to cause some light surface noise but not to detract from the music.

Very Good VG: Shows light scratches and marks and some that you would expect to cause surface noise, especially in soft passages, between tracks and during a song?s intro and ending but not so much as to overpower the music which can still be enjoyed.

Very Good Minus -VG: Shows significant wear and marks that you would expect to cause noticeable surface noise that detracts from the music.

Good G: In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records lacking much of the original gloss and with many scratches and marks that you would expect to cause very noticeable surface noise and clicks/pops that seriously detract from enjoyment of the music.

Postage: is with Australia Post and a tracking number is added to the Ebay listing. Aust Post insurance is included for a parcel lost or damaged with compensation up to $100 plus a postage refund.
