Description
JOE STRUMMER / THE CLASH - EARTHQUAKE WEATHER - RARE DELETED VINYL ALBUM.
Fantastic and very limited rare album from one of the most creative and respected punk songwriters of all time.
Joe Strummer left his band The 101'ers the day after witnessing the Sex Pistols live at The Nashville, he was tracked down by Mick Jones and Paul Siminon and within minutes had joined The Clash.
With The Clash he exploded from under the Westway in true punk style, crashing from late 70's punk rock into the 80's and beyond, never compromising and ever changing while retaining his devoted and loyal fan base.
This album from Joe came after the bitter split of The Clash, he had worked briefly with Alex Cox on the Walker and Sid and Nancy film Soundtracks but Earthquake Weather was his triumphant return to form.
The people's champion was back and this fantastic album features some great songs, some of the tracks on Earthquake make you realize that if The Clash had reformed how good a sixth Clash album could have been.
Instant Clash 'a' like Classics, GANGSTERVILLE, KING OF THE BAYOU and SLANT SIX are classic Strummer, Earthquake is a Strummer masterpiece, it's all here and then some on this mega rare album, there was Punk, there was Music but above all that - there was JOE STRUMMER...!
This album is nigh on impossible to find now, especially in this condition, the sleeve and inner are in decent condition overall, the vinyl has a couple of very light surface hairlines that shouldn't affect play.
A very rare and impossibly hard to find must have album for any serious Joe Strummer / Clash / Punk rock record collector.
Sold with no reserve, this rarely comes up for sale now, don't miss out on this absolute gem.
Check out my other items, lots more punk to find.
