Fantastic and very limited rare album from one of the most creative and respected punk songwriters of all time.
Joe Strummer left his band The 101'ers the day after witnessing the Sex Pistols live at The Nashville, he was tracked down by Mick Jones and Paul Siminon and within minutes had joined them to form 'The Clash'.
With The Clash he exploded from under the Westway in true punk style, crashing from late 70's punk into the 80's and beyond, never compromising and ever changing while retaining his devoted and loyal fan base.
The songs on this album from Joe came long after his bitter split from The Clash, he had worked briefly with Alex Cox on the Walker and Sid and Nancy film Soundtracks and his Earthquake Weather album marked his triumphant return to form.
The people's champion was back and this fantastic 9 track live album relies heavily on the Clash's back catalogue.
There is only 9 tracks on here with no less than 6 of them being Clash covers, there was Punk, there was Music but above all that - there was JOE STRUMMER...!
A very simple must have album for any serious Joe Strummer / Clash / Punk rock record collector.
