MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN 1954
THIS IS OUTSTANDING! ONE OF THE EARLIEST!!!!!
POSSIBLY A LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE A NR MINT COPY OF THIS MUCH SOUGHT AFTER VIOLIN CONCERTO!!!!!!
Johanna Martzy´s recordings are so much in demand.
In part, this is due to her playing which is quite beautiful, especially in the Joachim cadenza in this Brahms concerto.
This copy is MINT MINUS. it should be exceptional!!!
SIDE ONE HAS A SURFACE MARK WHICH MAY ENTAIL ATTEMPT AT PLAYING?
SIDE TWO IS PERFECT
Early pressings like this don’t appear EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IN NR MINT CONDITION
COVER
NO RINGWEAR NO SCUFFS NO TEARS
A VERY FLIMSY COVER WHICH DOES NOT EVER ALLOW A HEAVY 190 GRAMME RECORD TO SIT INSIDE SLEEVE PERFECTLY A TRULY WRONG DESIGN
THIS LP COPY A VERY VERY NICE HEAVY 190+ GRAMM
I Would like to remark on the Sleeve and the weight of the LP THEY CLEARLY SINCE CREATION WERE NOT SUITED AS A PAIRING!!
The cover is ALL INTACT. No Tears
The Opening Edge does curl outwards but is fully intact AND THERE IS A SMALL THUMB PATCH ON THE FRONT OPENING EDGE WHERE THE CELLOPHANE HAS DISAPPEARED
BACK IS COMPLETE AND 100% LEGIBLE HAS A RED PLASTIC NUMBER OVER THE CATALOGUE NUMBER, AS ILLUSTRATED IN THE PHOTO
Sellotape marks and crossed sellotapes at the corners i presume for strengthening the flimsy sleeve?!!
Only real factor which because of the mismatch between cover and heavy record there is a easily repairable bottom shunt on the bottom edge
obviously caused whilst in storage
The spine is intact With Brahms at top end in good order the middle section says Violin only, Concerto has been rubbed away Martzy on bottom is clear.
LABELS A AND B ARE FREE 100% FROM SPIDER MARKS!! BOTH ARE IN 100% CONDITION!!
Under normal lighting both sides of this record look clean, still gleam WITH NO marks on the surface or spindle marks on the label.
Very often, on the early heavy vinyl of which this record is made, paper marks such as those found here often do not impact on the sound of the record because of the depth of the groove, and this is largely the case with this record.
Considering that the Record is 60 years old,
It Is NR MINT condition.
Vinyl Condition: NR MINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
