Legendary performances of Johanna Martzy and Enrico Mainardi are beautifully captured in this super rare recording of a private concert performed in the Eppsteiner Evangelical Church in Germany on the 3rd & 4th of December 1966 at 5:00 PM. Composers played include Handel, Marcello, and J.S. Bach. Martzy plays in the Handel and Bach; and Mainardi performs in the Marcello Sonata.

The recording’s highlight is Martzy's extraordinary and magnificent interpretation of the Bach Sonata (unaccompanied) in A-Minor for violin.

Eppsteiner Advents Konzert 1966 Record Number: KN-002L, A side & B side. Monaural (“M-33” printed on record label). White Label. Non-gatefold. Condition: Both vinyl disc and its jacket are Pristine Mint/Pristine Mint. This record has never been played on either side. This rare recording is, we believe, a private label, limited edition, second copy pressing. All jacket liner notes are in German. Sound quality of the disk is excellent.
