Description
This is an auction for a JOHN CALE album cover, along with the LP record that came with it, signed by the Artist ANDY WARHOL. The records title is THE ACADEMY IN PERIL, by ex-Velvet Undergroud member JOHN CALE, and was released by Warner Brothers in 1972. ANDY WARHOL did the art work for this record. I got the cover signed by the artist during a book signing for his "Philosophy of Andy Warhol" book in 1975 (I previously sold a signed book in another auction). The item is in excellent condition, and has been sealed in a plastic bag for 30 years. The cover and record are in NM condition, and the l.p. is a White Label Promotional copy, Reprise Records MS 2079. The cover measures 12 1/4 x 12 1/4. Manufactured in the U.S.A.
