This is an auction for a GREAT condition VERY RARE CLASSIC BEBOP JAZZ LP - JOHN COLTRANE - BLUE TRAIN - BLUE NOTE 1577 MONO ORIGINAL 2nd issue PRESSING with DEEP GROOVE LABELS ON BOTH SIDES with the 47 WEST 63rd St. NYC LABELS and the NEW YORK 23 address ONLY ON THE BOTTOM OF BACK COVER, RVG and "EAR" MARK IN TRAILOFF on BOTH SIDES, NO R COPYWRITE SYMBOL on labels, PLAYS GREAT and VERY QUIET! FEATURING SAXOPHONIST legend JOHN COLTRANE with LEE MORGAN on trumpet, CURTIS FULLER on trombone, KENNY DREW on piano, PAUL CHAMBERS on bass and PHILLY JOE JONES on drums. Trailoff deadwax has the RUDY VAN GELDER 'RVG' HAND ETCHED, the music has the vibrant RUDY VAN GELDER engineering. This gem by Coltrane is a timeless sublime masterpiece - a must have for any serious Jazz collector. Record is visually graded a great EXCELLENT with just a small amount of light hairline marks and light spindle marks on the labels IT PLAY GRADES TRULY MINT- and please note that the side 2 LABEL has a UK customs stamp affixed but this is a US pressing. The cover has a nice glossy front graded VG+ due to light wear on back with a small stain on back lower right, a slight bowing, edge wear at corner tips with a 3" split at bottom center and a 1/2" split at bottom right and top right corners.
